2024 Election Manifesto Evidence and Findings
2024 Election Manifesto report: Taking our election manifesto to communities in Milton Keynes
In 2015 we published our first study exploring Women’s Participation in Local Politics, with a focus on women on Milton Keynes Council.
In 2020 we began work on a series of discussion papers. Discussion paper 1 Rethinking Equality for post-crisis times: a focus on gender reviews the state of gender equality in the policy and practice of Milton Keynes Council against the background of the Covid-19 crisis.
Discussion paper 2 Women’s participation in local politics: Milton Keynes Council 2015/16 and 2019/20 updates our earlier 2015 study, including a report of more recent research carried out in 2019/20.
In 2021 we began a series of annual papers monitoring the outcome of Milton Keynes Council (later City Council) elections in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Discussion paper 6 Women’s Participation in Local Politics: Milton Keynes City Council elections 2024, while focusing on the 2024 elections, also summarises results from our earlier monitoring, giving a picture of developments over time. If you wish to read individual earlier monitoring papers you can find these in our archive.
